Well I haven't had much time to rest since I got back from New York so I slept in today and got a late start this morning. We hit Hagg at about 11 and within the first five minutes of fishing, I hooked into a good sized fish. I fought her for a little bit. I see this big smally come up to the top the first time and I see she's a big fish. She went back down and I kept fighting her. The next time she came up, my dad lipped her. We put her on the scale and she was 5 pounds 1 ounce. We took a couple of pictures and let her go on her way. We caught a couple small largies later in the day.

That's a good looking fish. It's plenty big enough to cover the logo on your sweatshirt. j/k:applause:

Raptorschild does the Columbia kick out smallies over 4 pounds?I have never fished it for smallies! Not sure on the length, but when we got home and looked at the 8.1 on the wall it looked humungus compared to the 5.Remember the 8.1 was 18" around and 24" long.:D

I'd guess that the fish was probably 20-22 inches long.

We have caught several 4 and 5 lb smallies from the "C." I know some guys who have landed 6 lbr's too--so yes, plenty bigguns in the C. That's a beauty, and a little less common this time of year. NIce work!

The Columbia does have those fish.....but there are areas where they will be nearly impossible to find. The Wallula pool above McNary has an incredible amount of 5's 6's and even 7's. Last year a guy caught and pictured an 8lb 3oz near the mouth of the snake.

Nice fish.
