Hi All!!

Has anyone fished Dorena Lake at night for bass? If so, do you have any recommendations for tackle? I was thinking a big worm or jig probably black in color. Am I in the ball park??

I will be camping there in a couple of weeks, any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Joel

Thanks, Joel I fished there one summer night a long time age with a good buddy. We lost a humongous bass on a hula popper; I think it might have been a black one. Try around the delta where the river comes into the lake. Good luck!

Black Jitterbug!

By a 3/4 oz to 1 oz Spinnerbait and double skirt it in black, [very bulky]. Make the center part of the skirt come all the way back to cover the trailer hook! Use a #7-8 colorado blade with one side painted black!! If you want, you can add a single colorado #4 silver blade to make it a twin spin. Use 50# braid and hang on!!

I used to make these commercially under the name "Night Stalker"!!!

Big creature baits, buzz baits, black spinner baits, frogs can be awesome, waking a swimbait etc.

Thanks guys for the info!!!!

I was thinking of putting 20# mono on, didn't dawn on me to fish the braid....

Would a leader be needed for the braid or should I tie direct to the lure??

Also, I found my old plano box with the "night crawlers" (oops their 10-12" black power worms, some with the red tails). Guess I'll take those too!!

I've got the blades, frogs, etc. so THANKS A BUNCH:excited::excited:!!

Straight braid 35 or 50lb. Anything BIG and black. Black Hula popper at sun down then go to a 1/2oz spinner bait with double colorado blades.
