Clarno to Mcdonald Crossing FLoat?

Anybody floated the John Day from Clarno to Mcdonald crossing? I did Cottonwood to Clarno a week ago and want to go back for a day trip. Gonna be low water level and I was going to do it in my 14" Cat. Thanks for any advice.

Im assuming you mean cottonwood to mcdonald, just did that float at the end of June. We did it in 5 14' rafts two 9' pontoons and a kayak, left cottonwood on friday and and made it to mcdonald on sunday, im pretty sure you couldnt do it in a day, its about 20 river miles, unless you are cruising

I'm setting up to leave Thursday to float Cottonwood to McDonald Crossing; been doing it for ten years now. It's about 18 river miles and you can do it in 1 very long day if you row like crazy but you're going to miss a whole lot of fishing. We'll hit the water about noon Thursday and take out around 1pm Saturday making it a real easy run in (3) pontoons and a canoe.
