View Full Version : Ifish spammer at it again

I have asked this guy nicely to remove me from his spam list. I called him. I ICQ'd him.
Several ifishers have received his spam and done the same. He just doesn't get it, and keeps it up.

When I called him, he got really nasty. I suspect that he got e mail addresses off of ifish, since we all are getting them. Look in your spam box, or e mail this week. Anyone get this?

The guy won't give up!
I don't do business like this, and it ills me to see others be so desperate and annoying.
Jen

Hello:

Our 2003 sportsmen package

Internet Concepts (IC) is originally formed for the purpose of building, marketing, and managing hunting and fishing web sites online. We specialize in Internet traffic that specifically caters to hunting and fishing businesses.

Campaign I

IC has compiled an opt-in list of hunter and anglers that exceeds 550,000 e-mail contacts. These are fresh e-mails less then a week old. You will get two mass-mails a year. We also have the ability to break down the contacts per subject or zip code. (HTML newsletters $60 extra charge)

Re-cap:

E-mail 550,000 anglers and hunters with your marketing campaign.

Total cost for this marketing campaign US$500

Campaign II

IC will build three copies of your web site and host them on our servers for one year. We will insert the correct keywords, Meta tags, and then submit them to the major search engines to insure high ranking. Each web site will contain 50 different keywords that have proven ranking results. We will also mask the keywords and tag to insure your competitors do not copy it. We will then submit your web sites to the major search engines. We will then install a traffic statistic counter on your domains to track the surfers every move and provide you with a ranking report monthly.

Re-cap:

Three front door copies of your web site.
Three .com domains for your web site plus hosting.
Traffic counter statistics.
Monthly ranking report.
Index page optimization and addition of content and links targeting Google receptacles. (Google, AOL, Yahoo-Google, Netscape, and IWon)
Creation of one hallway or directory page.
Creation of up to 5 content delivery pages.
Analysis of domain linking structure and recommendations to improve PageRank for Google.
Meta Tag optimization up to 50 major pages.
Implementation of reciprocal links program (at least 50 reciprocal links)
Manual search engine submission to major search engines via proprietary 3rd party domain "pointer pages".
Inktomi database inclusion (MSN, HotBot, Excite, About.com, and 300+ others worldwide) with 48 hour refresh.
Alta Vista database inclusion with 24 hour refreshes.
Teoma/Ask Jeeves database inclusion with weekly refreshes.
Automatic submission to an additional 124 search engines worldwide.

Note: We only take a limited amount of clients for this campaign due to the amount of work involved. Also, we only take one client per subject per year. Meaning if you are a duck-hunting outfitter in Arkansas we will NOT provide our services for another in the same state. We are so confident we can consistently put you at the top of the search engine rankings that we are prepared to show you, not tell you, how good we are with a 100% refund if NOT satisfied.

Total cost for this marketing campaign US$2,000

Coming soon: Mailing labels for hunting and fishing 2002 license holders in TX, PA, AR, AK, WY, and many more. We are only taking a limited amount of clients for this service.

IC also builds fast downloading web sites with the main goal of simplicity and easy navigation. If you have any questions or want to view more marketing campaigns, results, or web sites please contact us.

Thank you for your time,

Mark Osterholt

So far, I haven't received anything from this guy, but here's an idea for those who have. Copy and paste his entire email, and send it right back to him. If the 'ifishers' do this, he will be overwhelmed with his own 'junk'! Kinda like sending snail mail junk back in their pre-paid postage envelopes! graemlins/idea.gif

Don't do that!
That helps spammers know that they have a live one on the line, and they will sell your e mail to others.

Best to avoid it and just delete.

That would be a violation of ATT Broadband's Acceptable Usage Policy. Emails to postmaster@attbi.com and abuse@attbi.com are in order.

Speaking of which, Jennie...you've got mail.

I did a little digging in the public domain, and
if this guy is who I think he is, he runs an internet based company (besides the fishing BB), and one of the services offered is anti-spam protection!

There is a lot of information available about this man on the public domain. I've researched him in the past. That's all I'm going to say about that.
