Ok, I know many of you also use anchors for bassin and catfishing over on the Snake Rvr.
Thought this might be of interest: http://www.ifish.net/board/showthread.php?t=256381
I lost yet another anchor over there and was thinking outside the box.

Good Idea....I lost one while pontooning the snake once......That basalt over there is tough on anchors....lots of undercuts and funny places to get lodged.
A bit of cement and a coffee can is always good!.....but I like your chains a bit better.
You could even find a way to take chains off if you want to slowly drag.

a couple days catfishing i could not anchor. current was to fast on my spots. did snag up a couple times but got free. one idea i have seen using chain. take a truck innertube, tie one end closed. fill it with chain with one piece hanging out with a clevis on it. tie that end closed. you now have a anchor that wont beat your boat up to bad for the price of some bailing wire and a clevis

Not too bad of an idea, I'm going to make one tomorrow. The parts should be EASY for me to find as I work at a local tire store! I've already lost a $100 anchor this year so this should work great. Thanks for the idea.
