We had a good day on the cats today. These were caught by a couple who really caught on to bobber fishing. They missed very few strikes. On the way in we made a quick crappie stop to top off a great day. 21 cats topped by a 5.4 and 35 crappie. Big fish yesterday was a 9.3 channel cat.

Bobber fishing. My son and I fished at the old cemetary and this morning a couple guy's in the bass torney told us we should use the mormon crocket's about three feet under a bobber. That's true? We caught a few really nice, to me, cats but got them on the bottom with crickets and shrimp. You got those today so I guess that the raising and lowering of the resivour really doesn't effect the fishing like one guy told us. The whole resivour raised about 3" from sat morning to sun morning. We thought that was why the bite was off.

Nice mess of cats. We're pumped after catching the ones we did catch. Biggest cats I ever caught and really fought great! Be back over in sept with the boat to fish that Powder River Arm.

Don, it just depends on where you're fishing and the situation. At the cemetery I would probably have fished on the bottom also. We were fishing 5'-10' from shore in a steep area that I hoped to find heavily feeding fish. The baits were about 5' below the bobbers. I was bottom fishing out deeper in the front of the boat and hooked 5 or 6.
A 3" fluctuation is nothing on Brownlee, has no bearing on the fishing.

Good job, it is good to see the Catfishing picking up. I am all ready to do some Salmon fishing, as soon as the ocean lays down. The first leg of the Oregon Tuna Classic is July 18th, I am looking forward to some Tuna action. I hope you and your Dad are doing well and it is good to see your posts.
