My Father tonight is refusing medical treatment ( Kidney Dialysis) and is ready to pass on.
He is a Korean War Veteran and Native American who has experienced too much Combat in his life.
Please pray for him to find a spot in Heaven and peace for once in his life.

The hospital is shipping dad home tomorrow there is nothing more they can do for him, they are giving him 8 to 10 days.

So my dad is a very strong minded person and these final days I have learned so very much from him.

The Hospice nurses are really great people they having taken great care of his needs I am amazed how they can love a stranger so much and give them that level of care that until today I thought was only possible by family members.

He only woke right when I was leaving and mumbling to me, I asked if he was tired, he said very clearly but quietly " A little" and drifted back a sleep.
I told him to have a great fishing trip and I would see him in the morning.

Hospice nurses are indeed special. I don't think I could do it. Helping a person heal is one thing. Comforting individuals that are on their way out -that has to be very difficult.
