Last September I had a line let go at the rear axle. Les Schwab in Longview helped me out to get me going once again.
Today my fitting behind the actuator blew out. This is for an '02 EZloader. Is there someplace to have a new fitting pressed on after cutting the old one off???
Or would I be better off just replacing the entire setup?

I would think that the fitting is screwed in rather than pressed in. Too much pressure to press in and stay. Is it a steel fitting and rusted off or did something hit it and it broke? Either way try using an ez out and thenreplace the fitting.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the fitting screws in to the housing.
The leak is in the stem of the compression fitting from the pvc? hydrolic line. It looks to be made of brass.
The guys who going last year said they no longer work on trailers with surge brake systems, some corporate policy.
I guess I'll bring it in to the local trailer shop and see what they say.

The brass fitting might be the problem. It used to be that brake fittings had to be steel and not brass. Too much pressure and the might crack. Don't know what the regulations are now but you might change the fitting to steel and see if that helps.:twocents:

Is it the fitting that regulates the amount of fluid going out of the master cylinder? If so I have one if you need it. If you have a tandem axle trailer I bet we have the same set up. I also have a master cylinder if you need it. You'll have to go through and clean it up really well but I'm sure it'll work fine.
I'm not sure where your located but the Shwabs by my house in Washougal works on trailers and if you don't want to bring to a shop Potter Webster has all your trailer parts and the prices are reasonable.
Send me a PM if you want more info.

Talked to three different places. All suggested to upgrade to stainless steel line from the master cylinder to the tee off for both axles. That will be my plan of action.
I appreciate your replies.
Good fishing,
