Hey!

I plan on heading down to camp at Little Lava tomorrow morning, and I've previously not yet been there. I spoke with a lady about campground information and it didn't sound like too bad of a place! I know it's a fairly popular 'bow area, and I really want to get into some fish. (I'm bringing my girlfriend, and to her it's not fun unless she's catching 'em) Any advice about getting into some fish there? I may rent a canoe or whatever they have available.. I'll be there for a couple of days, but I'm a fairly inexperienced Fly Fisherman, so especially fly advice would be very appreciated guys.

Anybody else plan on being down there this weekend?

Please any advice on what flies to use this time of year? I'll be heading out extremely early tomorrow morning.

I'm don't have any experience there but maybe this general lake info will help you. If you see mayflies midday thats callibaetis....you'll know by fish gulping them on top. Use a # 14 adams on top or hares ear nymph; both on floating line. If that doesn't do it try wooly buggers damsel nymph on slow sink line; green/black. Also try chironomid nymphs on floating line deep with indicator (see replies to my post on diamond lake help). Oh and finally.....good luck and have fun!
