Have hit a few rocks over the last couple years in my fiberglass drifter... one hard enough to crack through. Did a patch work job last year on it, but looks like will have to do every year if I want it to hold water... so I guess it warrents trying to resurfact the bottom. Looking for tips / things to watch out for.
I was planning on simply sanding grooves and cracks smooth, then adding 1 layer of mesh and using the same sort of stuff that comes in the patch kit, just a lot more of it... then sanding smooth again.
Has anyone done this? do you think it would be worth the time...? Also, where can I get the stuff to do it?
Any help is appreciated. It will be an experiment for sure!
