I understand that since this is my first post I need to share a fishing story. When I was like 5 me my dad and brothers were camping up on the John Day river. Well along the shore a big carp kept crusing the shore line. Well we had Hot Dogs for dinner and I took the tip off and thru it on my pole and chased this carp along the shore line thowing that Hot Dog in front of him. Well finally he bit and to my dads surpise I caught this big old carp on a Hot Dog.

Now for my question, I am going down to the Lincoln City for the 4th of July and am going to be down there for like 5 days. I was going to go on a charter for bottom fishing but a broken elbow has ruined that. I can now use my arm some and was wondering if there is any bass fishing available in any of the little lakes around there and if so can it be done from the shore? I also was wondering if where the closest place to drop a crab pot from a dock would be? I really don't want to be stuck with my wifes family the entire time so please help?

Welcome to IFISH. Devils lake in Lincoln City has some largemouth bass in it but the bank fishing is pretty limited. There are boat ramps around the lake that offer a few places to make some casts. My buddy got a 6lber from the North end of the lake if you do end up having any boat access.
