F9.9 Sits at angle

Ok not sure how to put this but when i put my yamaha f9.9 down into the clamp bracket it sits at an angle as you look at it from the back from left to right.

when i look close its tight against the bracket on the right and there is a space on the left which i think is the problem but is that the way it goes or can it be adjusted its a new to me motor built in nov 07 and hardly used. any ideas

Something is not right. Show us a pic. I thought this once but the boat was on the trailer weird. This sounds more likely it is incorrectly mounted?:twocents:

you need to make it level. measure the distance between the two clamps and level it out
