My brother and I gave it shot today, hitting the dock about 6:30am. Fished around the island and just north near the "cove" around Whitcomb. Left around 12:00 as the wind picked up slightly and become slightly choppy in places.

Didn't land any ourselves though, saw some on the finder closer to the bottom. Nice mid to high 60 degree water temperature, did see a few boats land one here and there. Talked with a few other boaters who had the same luck as we did as we did while we were pulling out.

Might try again in a few weeks, depending on others report and our schedules. Or might just go for Foster after the holiday and look for trout.

To bad the fish didn't cooperate, maybe next time.

But I certainly appreciate the report............good or bad fishing, it's always great to hear regular updates even if I have to work.

Thanks!! :applause:

Bummer, what rigging were you guys using and what depths? We caught trout just dragging behind the boat. Koke's at 40' and I caught two smaller Chinook's at 50' near the dam. We pulled dodger/hoochies, and different variations of W/rings with good success. Lost a few including a couple nice ones.

Keep after it!

we went yesterday (6/24) with no luck, but it was our first time there and had no idea what to throw at them. started jigging crippled herring for a while then switched to trolling. only spotted two schools of fish one on the very bottom and one at about 100'. had a good time though, it was a very nice day. glad to know we aren't the only ones not catching fish. :)
