Harnell 630R, 9', two piece about 15 to 25#, guessing from around the early 60s. Varmac NF2 reel seat and original cork, stripped off original guides, sanded 3 coats of Minwax and paint thinner mixed 50/50. Wrapped Fuji TLNSG in candy apple red, lemon yellow in A thread. This is a very parabolic rod bends from tip to butt cap should make a nice mooching rod for Coho.:D

I like the Throop/Colby (aka: Tiger) wrap. Nice looking rod!

Thank you Raymond for the kind words , but it's no Throop/Colby that tiger is one of the best I have ever seen, WOW.

The Harnell 630r only hand six guides+tip, with some line slap mark's between stripper guide and foregrip, scratches, chips 40+ years of use it needed a new finish.I tried Permagloss applied w/ a fine sponge but got to many bubbles, and it dries so fast I would only get a couple of minutes to apply. Not satisfied with it I looked for something different and found it here on IFISH,Minwax and paint thinner 50/50, applied w/ a tourniquet made from a coffee filter. Three coat's light sand between coats and it does not dry as fast as Permagloss.
