My grandma passed away on 6/22 peacefully in her sleep, at her home in San Diego,she was 91. I come from a small tight family, My parents worked there tails off to make sure us kids were taken care of. It fell on grandma to take care of us growing up. For 34 yrs she was always there for me, she always put others before herself in typical grandma fashion. She was a giver in life and loved to make other people happy. 91, wow, she loved K.F.C. and Carl's Jr.and fast food in general and still never got over a hundred pds, she was a big baseball fan and the PADRES were her team. My grandma was born in Astoria, my great grand father was a finish tuna boat captain for bummble bee back in the day, I know were my passion comes from. It hurts writting this knowing I cant talk to her anymore, but she is with gramps now, watching over me and my family, She will never be forgotten and will always be missed.
