Upper Rogue River

My wife and I have rented a cabin in the area of Prospect, the third week of July. I decided to leave the boat at home this trip and focus myself on fishing from the bank. I have never fished this area before and would appreciate any and all info and suggestions for above and below Lost Creek Reservoir. The "Holy Water" is of definite interest as well as the upper stretches of the river.

Do folks not fish the upper Rogue???/

I fished the "holy water" section for the first time 2 weeks ago for an evening. The Salmonflies were out and dropping to lay their eggs. The fishing was hectic with fish all over the place. I managed to land 5 trout from 13 - 18 inches. I would suspect now to have some caddis and pmd/ped action on that 1/4 mile stretch. There's good access on both sides of the river up towards the dam. Hopefully the geese that were there are gone (they were all over the banks/good water).
