Carp Bait

Just received and built my first Dakota blade spinners. Built 2 for the test run and they don't spin. :passout:Particulars: #2 Clevis, #4 Blade, 1 small bearing, 2 medium bearings, weighted body & hook. Do these blades need to be adjusted right out of the box? Suggestions??
Thanks for any help

Dakota blades are not meant to have a weighted body. They were designed to be put on a worm harness rig for trolling worm rigs for walleye. They lack the cup or surface area to catch water and counter act the weight.

Rob will they work with plastic beads for bodies?

They should work with a couple of plastic beads for bodies but need to be pulled or in some decent current against them. Should be a good spinner for trolling or if you are casting try an inline weight system( slinky, pencil lead or bobber weight) with a 24" to 36" leader. If you are making them reallyt small for an ultralight set up then a few split shot on the line should be enough. Just give them some room from the spinner itself so the spinner blade can work freely.

I like the way they look. Dont know if the fish do or not..never used them but I was thinking about ordering a few to put on bead spinners.

These blades require higher speeds to work properly; work well in fast current but not so well while trolling slow.
