1.5ft at Walterville. Seems low for this time of year. Are they holding water at Leaburg? Anyone care to comment about drfiting Deerhorn to Hendricks at this level?

I was told that the corps decided to bring the river down to summer levels about 3 weeks early. However, I didn't get an explanation.

thanks, what you are saying is consistent with what the levels are. Wonder why they'd do this?
Oh well, we may bump a few rocks and the whirlpool will be trickier to do without making a lap around it but it will be great to just get out!

I hit it this week for steelhead (wading) and I was completely surprised. I couldn't even swing an unweighted fly without it getting hung up on every rock. I'm not use to seeing that until July/August.
