I know the gate is open but I heard there was still snow blocking the way to the lake last week. Can anyone tell me if it's accessible? I have a 4X4 truck, but dented 3 door panels going for it too early last year!:passout:

Nevermind. Found out you can still access the lake but can't drive in due to snow...you have to walk a bit as snow still surrounds the lake.

It's seems about the 4th of July time when you can drive in and camp. Love that little Lake. Let us know how you do. Hope the brookies are still doing well.

This is second hand info..but around June 16th a buddy was up there..and you could drive all the way to the lake, but you'd have to walk over snow to get to edge of lake. he said you couldn't take boat trailer in to launch a rowboat.

I was up there about two weeks ago. Theres a snow drift blocking the road, so no boats, but you can park and walk in easily to fish from the bank. You could get a pontoon or raft in I would think. It is muddy, but 4 wheel drive was not needed to get in. With traffic that may have changed though.

Thanks folks. I'll let you know when I get up there, and how things go. I love that lake as well.

I was up there last saturday. The road in was all dry, but their is still a snow embankment blocking the final hundred yards or so. SO dad and I drug the pontoon over it down to the lake. Fish were rising everywhere but we had nothing to match the hatch. Saw a few guys dragging spoons/spinners with an occasional hookup. Beautiful little lake, I wan't to go back more prepared next time!
