merc outdrive help

So i was out last night just crusin up the river when BAM.....I have a fin gone off my prop and the keel? on the out drive is bent. Prop ok know how to deal with that any help on the outdrive unit itself

I'd use a hammer and dolly on it. That is this method from the first post listed - "I put a heavy block of iron in a rag and held it against the skeg just below the gear case on the side opposite the bend. I then tapped the tip gradually with a hammer back into vertical."

If it breaks, then I would just file it smooth and keep running it forever.

yup replace the prop and straighten the skeg. skeg is only to protect prop so you dont need it to run at all. ampro will fix it for you pretty reasonably if needed
