My dad and I bought a drift boat last year. It's a 2000 Willie and when I've been washing it out after trips I've noticed some of the zolatone coming off the floor at each side of the floor between the rowers seat and the front bench. On each side of the floor are some rubber mats, cut to fit, that are like a thick truck bed mat. Since this seems like the area where the zolatone is coming off the most I was wondering if it's because water get underneath the mats and just sits there.....could this be why it's coming off?

I've searched the archives and found a bunch of good info on applying zolatone and I went to their site and found they have some self etching primers, and a couple of different base coats. One of the base coats is the epoxy. Has anybody used this?

How hard is this going to be to do myself and where do I find a pot sprayer? I've never done anything like this and I don't want to screw it up so I would love any helpful hints.

Thanks

Follow the directions on the Zolatone site for mixing and spay tip size. I purchased everything (gravity fed sprayer and pressure regulator) at Harbor Frieght. I followed the instructions and it came out perfect. So you know I am horrible at painting and so on but this turned out better than the factory job that came on mine. I even went a step further and sprayed the recommended clear coat for added protection and wear. All the supplies total ran me about $145 bucks compared to the $900 quote I got. It took a quart to do my drift boat so dont get the gallon...
