Floated WS to TC today. Lots of surface action on Golden Stone patterns today. They seemed to be more active than the Salmon flies. Caught a hog in the morning then more around 15 inches throughout the day. Saw and lost many more.

Did this float yesterday. It was my first time on the Lower river and maybe my fifth time fly fishing so I'm no expert by any means, but thought I would give a report. My buddy caught a fish first thing that went about 18" and was FAT on a nymph. It did seem that that the fish were more on the stoneflies than the salmon flies, but the dry fly action was pretty slow for us. We caught maybe eight fish and the wind was brutal in the afternoon, caught most of our fish nymphing.
