Any Saturday reports from the Deschutes? I was mainly concerned with water color. The flow was up, so I wondered how the color was. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks.
I would be interested in Deschutes reports, also. I am definitely headed that way on Monday and would like to fish mecca but am not a fan of 5300 cfs. If necessary I will move on to the middle D or the Crooked. Probably bring the pontoon so East Lake would be an option.
As you can tell, I need a trout fix!
However, I have to admit the summers are willing on the Clack but looking for a little more action and possible dry fly takes.

ditto on that...I'll probably head out tomorrow and/or Monday...although, it doean't really matter too much for me, as long as there is ok visibility...

It's going off baby. Fished Friday below the dam on some private and I got bored after 10 or 12 on the dry. They are starting to slap the salmon flies pretty good right now up high.

Fished from Warm Springs to Trout Creek and the fishing was good! The water is up but the color was good today even thought the creeks are pretty muddy. We launched around 1:00 and finished up at TC at dusk and caught fish on the surface all day. Norm Woods was the go to for me today. . . Wish I was fishing tomorrow!

Fished Saturday above locked gate from 11am to dark. Landed 35 fish for 4 guys. The big bugs are definitely not as thick in that stretch right now but you can still fool trout with them. Trout are definitely still looking up despite the higher water.

Color was fine. Water was high but not a problem. Got 4 nice fish in the afternoon all on salmonfly patterns. Norm Wood Special produced again.
I was on the Warm Springs side, just down from Dry Creek. Watched 3 Bull Snakes and 1 rattler.. so keep your eyes open for them.

Ah yes...snake season is in full bloom. Walk hard and carry a big stick. Every time I try to scare them away on my path, I always seem to have one of the bulls zip away and scare the shorts right off me. Saw two rattles and too many bulls to count last week. Fisherman and snakes this time of year are like canyon subdivisions and cougars...

Nice looking fish greenhead. Some of the better fighting fish around come from that river.
