Had a great morning at Yale yesterday. The fish and weather cooperated and we had 20 fish in the boat within the first few hours. These were the first fish my 12 year old neighbors son had ever caught, it was great watching him and my 4 year old get so excited with each one.
Anything green between 12 & 15 ft was just getting killed.

Nice work on all the fish, and good that you took a new kid fishing, I am sure a day like that will be stuck in his thoughts for many days to come!

Where are the best spots to try on Yale?

Follow the boats. I found the best spots to be across from the YALE launch on the south side. From the launch area to the south side is all fishable. PM me

We went this morning and had a good time. For some reason, they only liked one of our 3 poles and we didn't have duplicate tackle to rig the others the same way, funny things. We ended up with 8 (one was a baby, so it went back) in the boat and 4 or so lost.

Bright orange wedding ring, and a simple lake troll (black wire, with green beads and silver tear-drops), with 1.5oz weight... anywhere from 20 to 30 pulls.

We did just follow the herd across from the Yale ramp.

Thanks for the tips!

Good job getting those young men into some really nice kokes. You're probably the most popular dad in the 'hood' these days!
