My girlfriend and I, plus a couple other friends had a reservation in one of the Newberry sites at Paulina Lake and were informed of flooding in the area. The resort cancelled our reservation and we are wondering of a good place to camp within 4 hours of Portland. It could be primitive camping (maybe Prineville Res.), or a place where we need a reservation. I have a drift boat with a 6hp motor. Thanks for any help given.

I have had one PM sent to me, which will hopefully work out, any other ideas.
Thanks,

Lapine state park, there are 2 parks at the next lake past paulina, 1 public, and 1 privately owned. There are a ton of parks between PDX and La pine.

Thanks for the post guys, I am leaning toward Wickiup, Crane Praire or Crescent, still undecided. I have fished all three in the past with little or no success other than Crane, but that was before the trout population plummeted.

I had a couple PM's suggesting Crane Praire, so my buddy and his girlfriend and me and my girlfriend hit Crane. We had a pretty good campsite close to the water but did not hook up into any fish. There is a Crane Praire post on here and I talked about how I did there.
Thank you for all the posts and PM's, it was appreciated,
