I'm looking to get into some Walleye in August to September. I live around Olympia and am willing to drive and camp to get into them but would like to keep it within reason. I'm looking at doing a guided trip on a Saturday then using what we learned on Sunday on our own. I'm experienced enough in Walleye fishing from living in North Dakota but have never done it here. So, any guide recommendations would be great. Thanks.

I've never used a guide before, but i've i;ve always done well on lake roosevelt in september. There are also plenty of public campgrounds on the lake.

Thanks for the info guys. Is that Roosevelt Lake by Grand Coulee Dam? What type of gear do you use there? I've done a lot of river fishing for them with jigs and pulling rapalas. I've done limited lake fishing with bobbers and minnows/leeches.

No leeches or minnows allowed. Lake fishing is bottom bouncers, jigs, or crankbaits.
