My hat is off to groups that are trying to fix up local fishing spots like the Canby pond, a great success:applause: But after reading the Sunday paper I went out to Ivor Davies to check it out. Not at all like the Canby Pond!! I was told by a Young angler that it had been cleaned up a lot and it was stocked with fish but it has VERY little access and is surrounded by brush, only room for about 4 to 5 people fishing close to each other. It sounds like local groups are fixing it up but I would not recommend taking young kids until the pond gets a lot of brush cleared out. I may go back with a machete and try to help out, if the pond had better access it would be a great place as it is close and easy to find. One other concern is that being open to adults it is very small and could be over used. I hope this place improves as we need more opportunities like this I just think this one needs more time and hard work before it is kid friendly just my :twocents::twocents:.
