LOL I was thinking about posting something regarding his choice wording, but I decided to be nice and choose not to. Looks like others couldn't resist the temptation!

As usually the joksters come out with nothing positive to add. Try silver lake its not that far and also vancouver lake is suppose to be ok for them as well as the columbia river around scappoosse bay. also search washington crappie fishing and see what you get and also see where the state record came from

All joking aside, I wasn't fishing for crappies the other day but I saw some in Lacamas Lake. This time of year, I tend to focus on the first vegetation I can find which is normally small clumps of milfoil. I tend to use a flyrod for crappie, but you can also use crappie jigs (olive green, blue/white, yellow/white are some of my favorites). 1/16 oz black marribou jigs work well too if you can get on them. I tend to use flies such as #8 woolybuggers when I can see the fish suspended in those clumps of milfoil. If the fish are deeper, I'll go to a float and jig.
If you use bait, maggots and meal worms have shown to be more effective for me than crawlers.
