What size lipless cranks will be working the best this weekend in the backwater ponds on 14 and 84 in the gorge ? I am thinking smaller as it is early but I do not have much experience with this type of bait. Thanks.

smaller is what worked for me, 1/4 oz... i tried to throw 1/2 oz and they wouldnt hit it... you just have to best match the bait balls theyres seeing and youll get em'. good luck!

Lots of reasons not to do that. Wind being a factor. Depth another. Don't do it. My 2 cents.

I would probably base it on the water depth. So, with Rat-L-Traps, 1/2 oz. for more than about 7 feet, and 1/4 oz. for less.
