Although it's been a couple of years I slayed crappie there. It got to the point where the three of us where catching a fish a cast. We culled 25 really nice slabs. That was in June and after the long cold spring I suspect the lake will still be pretty cold. I'm in Coeur d'Alene today and it's pretty cool.
I know there is a great Tiger Muskie population there and I have had a couple of very brief encounters while crappie fishing. If you plan to fish for them you need to use heavy gear, there might be someone at the Cabelas that can help you out.
For crappie the best siccess was at the north end by the reeds and the west end. I suspect we did well because the water had warmed up quicker. The boat ramp left a lot to be desired but it's usable.
Good Luck and I hope you post info after the trip!
