Hittin the Big-C tomorrow

Hitting the Big-C for smallies tomorrow, probably wont be the nicest day to fish, but hopefully we get into them... i will post results tomorrow or the next day... tight lines.

now is definitley the time above bonneville.... fished yesterday and caught like 10 in about an hour, on 1/4 oz Rat-L Traps!! fished today for most of the morning out of the boat and layed the smack down on some nice sized smallies!!! the numbers werent to impressive, but the fish sure were... caught like 4 or 5 really nice smallmouth, the bellys are full right now(youll see in one of my pics when i get them from my buddy). Tubes seemed to produce the best, along with the occasional crank!!!

Thanks for the report BassinJay. Now I don't have any excuses for my skunkiness it's go time. Any particular spots your willing to share or just any old nice rocky breaks will do?

i just did my best to stay outta the main stem, got into little coves and hit it hard.... ash lake hasnt been producing really great lately, but when the water was flowin out i caught a lot on smaller lipless cranks.... someone took me to one of their spots today, not a big secret place, but id like to stick to his code and not go blabbin my mouth. we seemed to move around and catch fish in almost any places... tube and cranks were hammerin today and he went the day before said that was workin best too, avacado kahlins got my two big ones for the day and outlaw tubes, and fire tiger cranks!!! go get em.

Definitely didn't want you to give up any secret spots. The out of the main stream and in the coves is plenty good. I still need to hunt a little for myself :D

wish i had some pics to post up so you guys could see the chunks we were catchin all day. My buddy leaves town today, so i dont know if ill be able to get the pics i only have one pic and its a cellphone pic and not very clear.

we probably ended up with 5 fish around that size or bigger... it was a really good day. i caught both my big ones in consecutive cast!!!! minus the boat ride back across the mighty columbia :eek:, i was a very very good day!!

i keep watin for these pics so i can show you guys the bellys on these things!!! they were stuffin up right now!!

id say we caught some really nice fish for the water temp only being 47.
