I'm going under the assumption you'll have a boat. You'll want to fish off of Mercer Island, I think on the south side. Lots of docks and such that should produce. I'm pretty sure you can launch at Genessee park. There's a launch in Bellevue, just south of the I-90 bridge. Seward Park is another good place to hit smallies too. Usually if there is a tounament, these places are being fished heavy.

I have only fished it once (last year) but had good success under the I-90 bridge and in some canals on the east side of the lake south of the bridge. I think we launced close to the Newcastle exit off the 405. I have wanted to spend more time on that lake especially up by the floating bridge and around Husky Stadium.
Good Luck and post a report!

Yeah, I forgot to mention Husky stadium. there are lots of lily padded areas. Also around the Montlake cut (the canal going out to the lake). I don't think you can legally fish it from a boat there, but some wildlife officials think that's where the next state record smallie will come from, so give it a shot for sure!
