Got my airbrush out again and did a number on half a dozen cranks. Tried the bluegill pattern for my first time. I think they turned out preety snazy. If anybody has any other good pattern ideas, or some of your own paint jobs, I could always use a little food for thought. I have thought about painting some lures for some side money but I have way to much time in just these six cranks that it would'nt be worth the effort. Unless I started some mass quantity production line...

I use testors enamel paint, like for model cars. Then I use an enamel clearcoat in a can. Im not to informed on the correct stuff I should use. I would like to find some sort of clearcoat that drys alot harder. I painted some others last winter and they have held up real well.

some good looking cranks...
you should test your skills on a craw pattern color, those are always good cranks to throw, id be curious to see what kind of pattern you could paint up....
nice jobs on those cranks!!!

Try Permagloss for a top-coat. Test it first cuz it's really a hot solvant base but it;s the hardest stuff I know about.
