Flames??

Son wants flames on his rod, anybody ever do it or seen it? I have no clue on even where to begin.

Seen it done two ways and I've done the second. First way was the flames were marbelized into the finish. The second was making a sticker that wrapped around the blank, laterally you can find little individual stickers of flames like the older hot rods had that you can stagger or group up the rod blank and put under your wrap finish if you use two thin coats.

A chevron fade looks like flames. Fade from red to yellow.

Marbled flames done with epoxy finish is very easy with just a bit of practice.
