PFC Askew, an active duty soldier taking combat medic training at Fort Sam Houston, lost her battle with personal demons.

Services Thursday at Wilamette National. RIP Jaynie.

From another soldier "She was always helping people and very friendly. Smiling and cheerful. Lending a hand and trying to pick people up and keep them going. She was a really nice person."

"God is still on the throne" PFC Askew.

And an inspiring statement her mother made saying "God has things under control. He knows better than we did why things happen."
