Looked at the impeller today and it has some decent dings in it. Might be able to clean em up, but if not. Where is a good place to get a new one? Anyone replace theirs?

I knew something was up. My top speed is down and holeshot is sluggish.

Thanks
Kris

Mine is getting due too. I know they can be rebuilt not unlike a prop for a helluva lot cheaper than a new one. I think new ones run around $500.00.

Looks like if it isn't in too bad of shape. I can get it sharpened up and the stator oil changed for under $300. I think I'm going to go that route.

Have you looked here?

It's pretty straightforward. You can save a few bucks if you do it yourself. Or you can take the back end off, tow it to the shop, have them do the impeller work and finish it up when you get it back. The only special tool you would need is for the nut on the impeller. If you can get a hold of that you're in business.

Typically, a few nicks & dings on the leading edges wont effect performance.

The real worry is the impeller to wear ring clearance.

That's correct, there is no adjustment.

Cleaning up the leading edges will not help performance if the impeller to wear ring clearance is excessive.
