T8 kicker trim/tilt HELP!

Yesterday while lowering my Yamaha T8 kicker (2006) down it stopped at about 3/4 down......and nothing, it will not go down or up when pressing the switch on the tiller handle!

I removed the engine cover and when you press the switch for up and down you can hear a click, click in the engine area.

I have to say that the swith does feel funny as in loose, it feels more like a joy stick, so I though "bad switch" but now after I can hear a click, click I think the switch may be working and it is something else?

I have a fishing trip in the morning and with out trim up and down I am hosed!!

Any ideas short of trying to take it in to the shop ?

Fixed! well, working any way!

From the days of owning Chevrolets......a few taps on the starter motor and it works!

I tapped the hyd pump motor 3 times and it works.

Good, glad your trip out tomorrow is a go, do not need all the seats to be filled and that kind of head ache. Hope we were of some help.
