Looking at buying a newer used 6hp Yamaha 4 stroke. Since these have two cylinders, it should run smooth unlike a single cylinder, right? I've heard horror stories of 4hp single cylinder engines with lots of vibrations. Anyone have any info on this motor?

They are indeed a 2 cylinder motor, infact they are the exact same powerhead and overall weight as the 8 hp motor, just restricted. The F8 model kicker that is...the T8 is a different lower unit and heavier, but still the same powerhead.
If you can find a used F8, I'd buy it. Troll down just as slow (if that is a concern) and more on the top end if you ever need it. Also MUCHO better resale.
