Is it plywood. If so. You can find marine grade ply wood at Mr Plywood
located on Stark st. they carry all sizes. and there prices are fare.

It's currently plywood, I was wondering if there was a better material out there.

You could use aluminum plate. But that is so expensive. And plywood
cuts so much easier.

I was pleasantly surprised when Steven gave me a quote of 1200 dollars to replace the floor boards in my 19 foot FV. Materials were about half the cost. I asked about Aluminium diamond plate floor over lay. was about the same cost. If you go straight aluminium you have to go at least 1/8 or more.

Wow That seems to be a lot for maybe 3 sheet of plywood. and a little cutting.and a lay up.what else did they do.

Do what I did, get something that will last forever from www.spaceagesythetics.com. Two layers of fiberglass with a high-density foam core. About 1/2 the weight and twice the stiffness of plywood. Cuts easily.

PM me if you need info on how to get it.

You could use the stuff called sea foam from Tapp plastics. great stuff
Was very easy to work with. I made a Swim platform with it. it was like
100,00 a sheet 4x8 but will last for ever... and you could get it in just about
any color.

How does the plastic do in the heat? UHMW is terrible unless it has slotted holes to expand.

The stuff that was on my boat works great. it is called sea foam. it's
not a straight plastic product. it made for marine applications.
