I keep hearing about sharkhide and am curios as to any success any one has had and is easy to apply. I recently purchased a alum. drifter and have had it on the water about 20 times. Would like to keep it looking nice any help would be appreciated.

I put in on my 2005 NR Seahawk and I've been happy with the result. Easy to apply, just dip a towel in the solution and apply it in even, over lapping steaks. You have to prep the surface with lacquer thinner, buy at a paint store.
We used to have a thread with nothing but tips on how to apply it and use it, so you might do a search on sharkhide.

I bet if you do a search in the tech tips you can find that thread on
using sharkhide.

Hey there BARCHASER,
Thanks for the kind words about Sharkhide. I appreciate you taking the time to answer fellow boaters.
I thought I'd throw in a couple application tips while I was here.
Unless you've used a polish or a wax on your boat, it's not really necessary to clean with thinner first (unless you just want to). Hot soapy water and a good scrub is all you need to do before you apply.
You're exactly correct when you say to swipe it on in long overlaping strokes. But here's a tip, you'll get a much nicer finish if you use an old fashion white cotton baby diaper, and pour the Sharkhide directly from the can right onto the cloth and then swipe it on.
Hope some of this helps,
Clint
