I have a mercruzer outdrive. It seems to pull to the right quit a bit, more then I feel safe with. Which way do I turn the trim tab to correct the problem.
Thanks
Greg

"Go West, young man, go West" (left). Think of it as a rudder. You probably won't need to move it very much, perhaps only a few degrees.

Turn the back edge of the fin to the right when pulling in that direction ...

My bad! Fishkisser was right on this one, you adjust it to the right, which makes sense after thinking about it. By adjusting it to the right when it is pulling to the right, you exert more force against the outdrive, causing it to turn slightly in the opposite direction, counteracting the torque.

no i did not read it again:D

some people call it leading or trailing edge, so i use both, no biggy

fact is, turn it in the direction of the pull, it is that simple
it is also in your owners manual!
