Nice picture Gthfish. So, how many bears did you see? I might be in the park this summer.

You used to be able to keep those in the park. They were great eating on the campfire.

While I seldom keep a fish and usually release them in the proper politically correct manner(whatever that happens to be at the time), this particular fish ended up in this position of his own accord, I dropped my rod next to him---snapped the picture from the digital around my neck, and the fish was back in the water in just a few seconds!

Nice cutt. However, that is not a good example of how to handle fish that are to be released.
Please don't lay fish on the bank - don't even take them out of the water. Removal for even a few seconds can damage the gill structure and cause delayed death.

I actually have veerry poor luck seeimg the Griz in the park. In fact, it might be a good idea to take me along aas a bear repellent. Seriously, though-- this area is Griz country---every trip in I see fresh scat, tracks. A lone hiker is a target. Tag along with a group if alone. Scan the willows and meadows as you hikein and begin to fish. If you see a bear in the distance , it doesnt mean you cant keep fishin--just pay attention to where he goes.
