They have been tested while fishing with lilnorthfork. They hold up well especially when there isn't any fish trying to tear them apart. I really hate it when fish are tearing up my flies I worked so hard too tie. :grin:

If you get a chance to wet a line with me sometime you'll notice I have one stuck in my hat along with several other flies. The only way to make it onto the hat is to be a proven fish catcher.

They are also brutal on chum salmon, and with a seven weight rod the chum salmon are brutal on an elbow and wrist. :dance: I had to fish left handed for three days with spinning gear. :blush:

This is an original pattern, I normally use red wire instead of the red lace for the ribbing but didn't know if some of you may consider that weighting a fly? It is a tougher fly with the wire but held up good while fishing with lilnorhtfork, probably because that day the fish left it alone. :shrug:
