Fly of the Week - 9/18

This is my variation of the famous Deschutes fly Red Winged Black Bird

Hook - Stout #1 Eagle Claw (Can't remember the number)
Body - Black Chenille
Rib - Oval silver tinsel
Tail - Red saddle hackle fibers
Hackle - Black saddle hackle palmered wet-fly style
Wing - Red zonker (rabbit)
*Optional - This fly can be weighted fairly easily with a few wraps of lead wire to fish a deep wet fly swing.
Made famous by noted flyfisher Lani Waller in his three tape steelhead fly fishing series.

Nice fly, good color scheme, could see it as a possible coho fly

Replace the red with purple and it would be great fly on the Santiam.
