View Full Version : Next fly swap
Okay let's do a trout swap next time. I don't wish to be the "swapmeister" this time but will participate.
Whenever you guys are ready I'm ready

Jordan and I will do it if no one else wants to. Regardless we want to participate. I think this time we all should put in a dollar or two to help out with the postage.

Hey, I'll like to participate in this one. I don't tie steelhead flies, but I do trout flies.

Would you guys accept a newbie? I've gotten pretty good at tying a few wet fly patterns and am experimenting with Randals Kaufmann's book. I also think it's a good idea to chip in for postage.
Lemme know - I'll be practicing,

Can I get in on this one? No fly's to give out but I can trade some of my Squeeze Sheaths (gink holders) for fly's.

Lets get 10 people and tie 2 different patterns of 10 flies each. Notice me with the big suggestions and Jordan is doing the tieing.
Whoever wants to handle this one then that's fine. It might be a good idea to wait for a little while so it won't be so soon after the first swap.
I think you should keep it to one pattern. x 10.
If you did that, I would be interested.

I'm into it also, but not dying to tie 20 flies, unless you all want my famous single egg pattern.
I think exactly ten have responded to this thread so far.

Well I'm being a little bold here but unless someone objects I'll take care of the swap. We will go with 1 pattern and 10 flies. I'll talk to Stew to put things together and we'll go from there.

I would be in too, I have been tying several trout patterns I learned in tying class. Count me in.

Hmmmm, I'm not a for sure yet. Don't have much for tying trout flies anymore.
But Dave, you'd be NUTS doing a 10x2 fly swap. Trust me, being a swapmeister of literally over 20 swaps, that's INSANE. Bad enough only doing 10-12 of one pattern each. LOL. Trust me, you'll see soon.

Insane 1. not sane;mentally ill or deranged 2. of or for insane people 3. very foolish
Ok you win, #3 got me. I'll put a post together this weekend with everyones names and get the ball rolling. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Is it too late to get in on the fly swap ? I tie a pretty good parachute caddis, tried and true.

I apologize for not posting anything this weekend in regards to this swap. I was out of town on buisness. I'll make a post this evening with all of the details.
