Beauties all of them. I can't wait to use them, and I'll post pics of the fish I catch, with the appropriate kudo's.

Stew:
Thanks. I was hoping you would take a picture.
Could you edit (or reply) post and put pattern names along with authors. Not on the picture - just in the post.
Thanks.

Way to go Stew! Nicely run swap and great looking flies all around! Some of these look like great searun flies! Thanks again for the super followup!

Thanks for letting Jordan participate in this. By the next swap I'm sure Jordan will have honed his skills and beable to put something a little more complicated out. Do you all remember the first fly you tied? I'll have to post a picture of Jordan's it's a hoot.......... Notice I never say anything about my flies.
Hey Jordans fly is a good one! I'm going to try it on the Deschutes on Wednesday. He could tie variations like a green tail or red tail but it should be a steelhead killer.

Well, I just made up the name for mine. Was a special order for a customer (he wanted 3 dozen of these in different sizes). Guy was from SW WA and said that his friend used to tie these for him and did really well on them. So, since I was at it, figured I'd tie up an extra bakers dozen for the swap. So go try it out. Have no idea on effectiveness. But my customer loves it. But he didn't have a name for it. Just sent me one of the flies he had left and how many of what size.

Sorry this took so long...
The fly I submitted doesn't have a name yet. I take people fishing with me during the winter, and I usually let them name a hole if they're the first to catch a fish in it (other than me) and/or name the fly if they're the first to catch a fish on it (other than me).
So...I caught a few winters on this pattern last year, but nobody else I fished with did. It is as yet unnamed.
Here's the deal--I'm hoping somebody on ifish catches one on it and gets to name it. One condition--we will require a story and, if possible, a photo.
As for the pattern, it's really simple but really effective. Marabou tail, chenille body with a shank's length of .035 lead wire underneath, and a soft hackle collar. The color combos are endless, but this fly is tied with a Spirit River chenille (I don't remember the exact color) and obviously white marabou and white saddle hackle. It fishes with a lot of action and looks really "shrimpy".
