I've never posted on the fishing forums, but I need a little help.. I've heard of people fishing for trout using a marshmellow for bait. Does that work? I was thinking about giving it a try, but I don't want to screw up a good fishing hole..

I like to use a mini-marshmellow and a half of a nightcrawler with about an 18 to 20 inch leader. This keeps the bait off the bottom. It can be deadly at times.

Thanks, I think I'll give that a try here in a bit.

if you are going to use plain marshmellows try putting some scent on them it helps. i buy the garlic marshmellows and a worm they are killer for trout fishing.

I have also used the mini-mellows and worm or corn but I like to let the marshmellows sit out for a while to dry out and get a little tougher.

I'd be careful using marshmallows for bait while fishing. You might get 'skunked'. MB.

You need to place the trap close to the skunks den if you can find it (it may just appear to be a lump in the grass). You can bait the trap with just about anything (even a marshmallow) as skunks are natural garbage pickers, but remember that you don't want to catch your dog or cat so do not use their favorites.
