Crooked River

I'm headed to the Crooked River and Prineville Res. this weekend with some friends. I've been fishing this river for about 10 years, but haven't been in the past few. Any tips, or is it still an orange or pink scud show here? Anything would help. Thanks.

I'd bring some small dark caddis (standard and slow water) and some black gnats. The scuds should always produce, as well as small PT's and zug bugs. You might also try a small hopper of orange stimulater along the grassy banks.
Enjoy the river, and keep you eyes out for snakes.

Thanks for the reply, I'm headed to get some now. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for those snakes, I've had more than a few run in's with 'em. There's nothing quite like that sound, I don't think I'll ever get used to it, but I guess that's a good thing. Come to think of it, it's the one's that don't rattle that worry me more.
