4hrs for ten fish. One was a nice holdover.
Two split shots three foot leader and a rainbow needlefish trolled a little faster than most.
I seemed to be doing better than those around me using lake trolls and a lot of guys fishing deep judging by the bend in their rod.

Went out a few days ago couldn't find what depth the fish were at so didn't have the best day. Through everything from weddingrings to rapalas but just couldn't get on them. I did happen to notice that lots of boats and people were around the cover at scoggins creek. If anyone has been fishing that Im interested in how its going?

Went out to Hagg on Sunday and got skunked. Trolled wedding rings with worm + fenders & macks to no avail, tried pulling some small plugs. Then played around in some coves throwing rapalas (and used the time to work with my new trolling motor), finally started marking some fish really deep (40-70') and tried downrigger fishing. But no fish for the three of us, for about 5 hours of "work". Lake was still pretty cold though at about 44 degrees. I think it needs to warm up a bit, or I need to be a better fisherman.

Yeah I was starting to think it was just me and was going to see if my med's got mixed up or something :passout:

No doubt!
Trolled 1 rod for a couple of hours Sunday. Managed 2 bites and landed one monster. 28.5" and over 8lbs on a rapala.

I had a chance to take Dakota and her Dad Daniel out fishing this morning. We managed to get 7 good hits and hooked 5. However, each time the rod was passed to Dakota and somewhere in the hand off we managed to lose ever one of them. But judging from the smile on Dakota's face, she did not mind. Most of the fish were hooked using an olive colored woolybug and a split shot about 18" up the line.

I will have to try the wooly bugger setup out.
I saw a post that talked about marking the fish deep. My experience this time of year has been to trust that there are fish on the surface feeding. I have better luck with that over chasing the ones I am marking deep.

The 18,000 stocked in February gotta be somewhere. No doubt the water temp is hindering my ability to fill the smoker!
Nice pictures!!

Sain creek is one of my favorite spots to fish from the bank...2ft leader and chartruse power bait is all you need...Or a worm and a marshmellow..
