Any fished the N. Umpqua lately? It's getting to that time of year, and I can see my favorite tailout full of chromers in my dreams at night. Just wondering if my dreams are a reality at this time. I imagine the water is fairly low right now, but any reports would be appreciated. Gracias!!

I've strictly been fishing the bait water, but I can honestly tell you I've never seen the water this low. Last year was as low as I could remember seeing it...until now. It is lower than last August or September.
There are more than 5000 summers over the dam, but I've not seen many in holes that are usually money in the bank.

I have fished afternoons and evenings above the flyfishing deadline three times over the last six weeks. I have not turned a fish, nor have I seen anyone else with a fish. But I am new to the N.F. Umpqua, so I may not be doing everything right.
The water is very clear, so it is probably hard for the fish to hide, except from me.
